Louise Brewer
Louise was born in Lancashire but now lives in the Lake District with her family, Alfred the Lakeland terrier and Ted the cat. This is her first publication, hopefully not her last!
Living in a National Park, an area of outstanding beauty, she hopes, via this book, to help to teach the next generation the importance of the Country Code. Sadly, we have some tourists who disrespect our area and leave behind litter, decaying food and disposable barbecues, which cause wildfires to break out, destroying both the landscape and the wildlife.
Hopefully, the message will get through that all our beautiful countryside and the livestock in it must be safeguarded so that everyone who visits can enjoy their surroundings.
Are you ready for an adventure? Yes, of course you are. So why not follow Maurice the cat, a lonely but well meaning boy who just wants to find a best friend, hopefully someone to love.
He’ll make you laugh out loud, shake your head at his absurd mistakes, feel sorry for him in fearful situations, and cheer him on when his attempts are successful.
On his journey he makes some amazing friends – will you be one of them? Will you join Hermione, Jim Strawberry, Bert the waiter, Blofeld the dog vicar, Peejee the guitarist, Aunt Muriel, Horace and Brian the terrible twins, Tyson the unpredictable cat from Egremont, Farmer ‘Erdwick and Pansy Potter?
