For all those who have suffered pain to the point of destruction. Where life seems no longer relevant, I hope my personal story will give solace, but most importantly hope that it is possible to rise from the depths of despair and begin making life meaningful once again.
For me, the unimaginable shock of losing my beloved son, Dwayne, to knife crime hurled me into an abyss of darkness, trauma, and indescribable pain. The light, love, and laughter that once fuelled my life daily was suddenly taken away in one devastating moment. My son, who embodied joy and peace, was cruelly taken from me, and with him, it felt as though my very breath and reason for living had also been stolen.
However, out of that darkness, a seed of resilience began to grow. I realised that while my pain was unbearable, the steps I took in this book began to transform my pain into power. My prayer is that as you journey through these pages, you too will find the courage to forgive, the strength to heal, and the faith to live again or simply empower a loved one that you know will benefit from my testimony.
