Description

Nemisis by Allan Williams is partly based on the real life experiences of the author.  It is narrated by Adam Lathey, a geologist and follows him and colleagues on journeys to many countries.

Lathey becomes involved with an eclectic array of personnel ranging from Colombian FARC Guerrillas, mercenaries, Pablo Escobar’s drug cartel to MI6.

Lathey and friends go emerald prospecting in Colombia and are taken prisoner by the irregular army of a brutal war Lord.  They eventually escape into the jungle – and into more trouble.

This rip roaring novel additionally gives the reader an insight into geology, art, literature, music and there is love interest.

  1. Neil Caldwell (verified owner)

This is a rip-roaring adventure novel featuring an eclectic mix of men, all of whom should know better, fighting often violently for the many avaricous things that motivate them – money, women, precious stones, drugs and above all, power. It is not for faint-hearts or the ‘woke generation’. But for those of us brought up on Bond, the Saint and men from U.N.C.L.E. books during the 1960s, it will bring back happy memories of a time when life seemed altogether simpler. Blending fast-moving action with numerous artistic and scientific revelations along the way, it keeps the reader fully focused on discovering the final, spectacular débacle.
