Vendon Wright:
1 Officially the first blind author to physically write an autobiography in October 2005.
2 In July 2017, after attaining a 7th Degree Black Belt, was recognised as the first registered blind Grand Master of Olympic Taekwondo in England.
Vendon Wright was born on the sixth of August 1966, in the hometown of Rugby football. He was registered blind at the age of twenty-eight, after a ten-year battle he learnt how to accept his disability and concentrate on his abilities.
Vendon’s new skills of diverting negative thoughts into positive ones led him down a new path and he taught himself how to touch type, using a talking computer. Now every morning Vendon says he wakes up with a purpose. He now write books in total darkness and now find himself writing books for both children and adults on how to positively handle stressful and difficult situations that they too might encounter during their lives.
During His journey Vendon experienced a wide range of emotions as he fought to find a way to deal with stress, anxiety and depression at the same time as accepting his disability. After a long hard and emotional battle, overcoming huge obstacles, Vendon finally learnt to embrace his medical condition.

Some of his children’s books were written during the stressful Corona Virus pandemic of 2020. It will always be remembered as a dark and difficult time for millions of people all around the World.
