We were two mixed race children, brought up in the care system.
Who were we?
Where had we been born?
It seemed enough that we had a roof over our heads, but there was something missing, – love.
Showing of affection by care staff was frowned upon; questions about our past were taboo.
But there is in all of us a need to know about our past, our roots, and our heritage.
We were many years later, to find out we’re not alone.
