Description

My poetry in this volume was inspired by the man I fell in love with, John. It is divided according to two major periods, the eighties and the second millenium onwards, the poems differing in spontaneity.

The poems of the eighties are couched in the sentiments of nascent love between man and woman. The latter day poems were more distanced since we were separated somewhat with very strongly inspired chance meetings. Time was also felt through union with nature and music.

Autumn predominates since I live in the east of France. My Indian roots and John’s country, Ireland, also intervened in my writing. This is obvious in my last poem Puca written on John’s passing away and The Spice Route which stems from my deeply embedded Indian memories.
